1) This event was NBMXA's 1st annual Shimano Grand National, held at Randal Ranch downhill track in Newhal CA.
2) John George #14 leading Byron #400.
3) My first race on my new REDLINE Square back prototype, built by Jim Emerson at Peddlers West/EFF.
4) I was leading the final and had a mechanical- that's the price a test rider pays for riding untested equipment at important events.
